I am an urban designer and planner with experience in the private and public sectors.

I produce urban plans at regional, city, neighbourhood, and site scale; research and draft design policy; design and manage public realm and landscape projects; and lead engagement and consultation with the general public and other consultees.

I can research, advise on, negotiate and assemble planning applications at all scales. I have successfully delivered planning permissions on complex sites, featuring mixed uses, environmental constraints, and policy designations such as heritage assets and Green Belt. I have experience of appeals and public inquiries, including appearing as an expert witness. My design-led approach to planning includes drafting compelling Design + Access Statements.

I can help with:
+Planning applications – pre application, submission and assessment, committee reports and presentations
+ Urban plans, supplementary planning documents, and development briefs
+ Public realm design
+ Proofs of evidence and expert witness
+ Conservation area appraisals
+ Townscape and views assessment
+ Context and character studies
+ Public consultation
+ Design review
+ Transport infrastructure – Design, business case including TfL Major Scheme bids
+ GLA/TfL liaison – Funding bids and project partnerships

I hold an MA in Spatial Planning and Urban Design from the Cass School of Architecture, a B.Des in Architecture from the University of Technology Sydney, a BA in Politics from the University of Liverpool, and am looking forward to completing an MLA in Landscape Architecture from the University of East London.

I am a member of the LB Tower Hamlets Conservation and Design Advisory Panel, and the Executive Board of the Urban Design Group. I am also an Associate of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), an Affiliate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), and a member of the Landscape Institute (LI).
